Joyce Estes

CHAFFEE, Mo. -- Joyce R. Estes, 78, of Chaffee passed away Saturday, Dec. 12, 2015, at Southeast Hospital in Cape Girardeau.

She was born in Chaffee on March 26, 1937, to the late Elode Schultz Bishop. She married Carl E. Estes Sr. on July 17, 1959. He survives.

She was a member of the First Assembly of God in Chaffee.

Survivors include her husband, Carl E. Estes Sr. of the home; four sons, Rick (Tenea) Choate of Benton, Missouri, Keith Estes of Chaffee, Carl (Laura) Estes Jr. of Chaffee and Kevin Estes of Chaffee; one daughter, Debbie (Kenny) Essner of Dexter, Missouri; 10 grandchildren, Nicole Egli of Bentonville, Arkansas, Kent Essner of Dexter, Missouri, Andrea Sampanis of Alexandria, Virginia, Brian Choate of Edmond, Oklahoma, Luke Choate of Spring Lake, North Carolina, Mallory Estes of Chaffee, Miranda Estes of Chaffee, Storm Estes of Chaffee, Montana Estes of Chaffee, and Brett Estes of Chaffee; and 12 great-grandchildren, Braden and Samantha Egli, Klaire and Kennedy Essner, Tristan and Isabel Sampanis, Kaylee and Ethan Choate, Mason and Landon Choate, Kolbey Estes and Carter Hendricks.

Friends may call after 4 p.m. today at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee.

Funeral Service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the chapel, with the Rev. Donny Ford officiating.

Burial will follow at Union Park Cemetery in Chaffee.
