Joyce E. Osborn Barylski, 66, of Cape Girardeau died Tuesday, Dec. 31, 2019, at the Lutheran Home.
She was born Jan. 4, 1953, in St. Louis to Frank and H. Bernice Treloggen Osborn.
She taught in the Cape Girardeau school system more than 20 years.
She was especially proud of being involved in the start up of the Alternative Education Center. Joyce was most proud of helping students who would not have finished high school to achieve their diploma.
She loved spending time with her grandchildren.
Survivors include her two sons, Daniel (Angie) Barylski and their children, Marshall and Grace of O’Fallon, Missouri, and Mark (Tisha Walters) Barylski and their children, Mason and Marissa of O’Fallon; one sister, Julie Osborn of Cape Girardeau; two brothers, Jim (Diana) Osborn of Poplar Bluff, Missouri, and John Osborn of Cape Girardeau.
Friends may call from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home in Cape Girardeau.
Service will be at 1 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Entombment will be at Cape County Memorial Park Mausoleum in Cape Girardeau.
