Joy Lavonne Brewer, 59, of Cape Girardeau, also known as "the painter lady," passed away into the arms of her one true and loving father Sunday, July 14, 2013.
Joy was owner of Facelifts Home Improvements the past 13 years.
She served in the United States Air Force and Michigan Air National Guard from 1972 to 1985.
Joy is survived by her husband, Terry Brewer; father, Richard Zerbe; four brothers and a sister.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Willa Wilmath.
A memorial service will be held at 7 p.m. July 30 at Trinity Grace Chapel in Jackson.
Arrangements are by McCombs Funeral Home in Cape Girardeau.
