JACKSON -- Josie Mae Martin, 81, of Jackson died Wednesday, Aug. 26, 1998, at Heartland Care Center in Cape Girardeau. She was born May 14, 1917, at Crump, daughter of Louis Christopher and Louella Proffer Jauch. She married Closkie C. Martin Feb. 25, 1942, in Benton. He died June 10, 1979...

JACKSON -- Josie Mae Martin, 81, of Jackson died Wednesday, Aug. 26, 1998, at Heartland Care Center in Cape Girardeau.

She was born May 14, 1917, at Crump, daughter of Louis Christopher and Louella Proffer Jauch. She married Closkie C. Martin Feb. 25, 1942, in Benton. He died June 10, 1979.

Survivors include two sons, Thomas and James Martin of Cape Girardeau; three daughters, Diane Lough of Scott City, Joyce Aldrich of O'Fallon, Juanita Martin of Independence; and four grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by three brothers and three sisters.

Friends may call at Cracraft-Miller Funeral Home from 6-8 p.m. today.

Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Friday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Darrell Jauch officiating. Burial will be in Russell Heights Cemetery.
