Joshua Kaine Campbell, 42, of Jackson died Thursday, Dec. 10, 2020, at his home surrounded by his family, after a courageous battle with melanoma. He was deeply loved and will be sorely missed.

He was born Aug. 10, 1978, in Des Moines, Iowa, to Thomas C. Campbell and Lisa D. Pieper.

He and Heather L. Morton were married Aug. 4, 2001, at Cape Girardeau.

He was the vice president of finance and accounting for Big River Communications in Cape Girardeau for 20 years.

He enjoyed coaching his kids in soccer, softball and baseball.

He was a member of Maple United Methodist Church in Cape Girardeau.

Survivors include his wife, Heather L. Campbell of Jackson; father, Thomas C. Campbell of Des Moines; mother, Lisa D. Pieper of Jackson; daughter, Hannah L. Campbell of Jackson; two sons, Nicholas K. and Kade J. Campbell, both of Jackson; brother, Shawn R. Campbell of Jackson; in-laws, Lynn and Robyn Morton of Jackson; brothers-in-law, Adam (Ruby) Morton and Christopher Morton, both of Jackson; grandmothers, Helene Campbell of Des Moines and Twila Pieper of Gepp, Arkansas; several aunts and uncles; special niece and nephew; and a life-long best friend, Chris Simmons.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home in Cape Girardeau.

Funeral service will follow at 1 p.m. Monday at the funeral home with the Revs. Jim Cooper and Jeff Estes officiating. Burial will be at Cape County Memorial Park Cemetery in Cape Girardeau.

Memorial contributions may be given to Josh Campbell Memorial c/o Bank of Missouri for the family for the education for his sons.
