JONESBORO, Ill. -- Josephine L. Spurlock, 82, died Wednesday, June 2, 1999, at City Care Center in Anna. She was born Feb. 13, 1917, in Ware, Ill., daughter of William and Ethel Smick Peeler. She and David B. Spurlock were married Oct. 16, 1973, in Anna. He died July 28, 1991...

JONESBORO, Ill. -- Josephine L. Spurlock, 82, died Wednesday, June 2, 1999, at City Care Center in Anna.

She was born Feb. 13, 1917, in Ware, Ill., daughter of William and Ethel Smick Peeler. She and David B. Spurlock were married Oct. 16, 1973, in Anna. He died July 28, 1991.

Spurlock was a member of Gospel of the Kingdom Church.

Survivors include three stepdaughters, Wanda Woods of Batavia, Jo Ann Geasly of Belleville, Rose Hinkle of Dongola, two stepsons, Ralph Spurlock of Oswego, Larry Spurlock of Batavia; a son, Lloyd Hinkle of Anna; a daughter, Norma Hinkle of Anna; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a half brother and a half sister.

Friends may call at Hileman and Parr Funeral Home in Jonesboro from 5-8 p.m. Friday.

Funeral will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Bon Reynolds officiating. Burial will be in Casper Cemetery.
