Josephine McNeely, 81, of Cape Girardeau died at her home Friday, Nov. 3, 1995. She was born Aug. 9, 1914, at Haleyville, Ala., daughter of William C. and Mittie Bradley McVey. She married Lloyd Darris McNeely on Nov. 6, 1939. He preceded her in death on Sept. 30, 1991...

Josephine McNeely, 81, of Cape Girardeau died at her home Friday, Nov. 3, 1995.

She was born Aug. 9, 1914, at Haleyville, Ala., daughter of William C. and Mittie Bradley McVey.

She married Lloyd Darris McNeely on Nov. 6, 1939. He preceded her in death on Sept. 30, 1991.

She was a member of the United Church of God.

She is survived by two sons, Robert McNeely of Cape Girardeau and Darris McNeely of Indianapolis, Ind.; a daughter, Ann Holmes of Naples, Fla.; a brother, Ben McVey of Oran; five grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by three brothers.

Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Ford & Sons Mount Auburn Chapel, where funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Sunday. Roger West will officiate, and burial will be in Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Fruitland.
