EAST PRAIRIE, Mo. -- Josephine Keen, 85, of East Prairie died Wednesday, Feb. 2, 2005, at her home.
She was born July 8, 1919, near Middleton, Tenn., daughter of Cullen and Rosa Fish Brown. She and Thurman Keen were married Sept. 23, 1939, in Osceola, Ark. He died Sept. 12, 1984.
Keen attended First Church of God.
Survivors include two sons, Bill Keen of East Prairie, Jerry Keen of Blodgett, Mo.; five daughters, Melba Sims of Atlanta, Ga., Rosemary Spray of Halls, Tenn., Peggy Downy of Ellenton, Fla., Debbie Cox of Crossville, Tenn., Paula Cates of East Prairie; 14 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by a brother and two sisters.
Friends may call at Shelby Funeral Home after 6 p.m. today.
The funeral will be at 1:30 p.m. Friday at the funeral home, with Larry Smith officiating. Burial will be in Dogwood Cemetery.
