CAIRO, Ill. -- Josephine M. Kaha, 82, of Cairo died Monday, Sept. 11, 2000, at Daystar Care Center.
She was born Dec. 5, 1917, in Cairo, daughter of Frank and Edna Mayes Moreland. She married Arthur L. Kaha, who preceded her in death.
Kaha had been a technician supervisor 27 years with Illinois State Hospital in Anna, East Moline and Galesburg. She was a member of the Church of the Redeemer Episcopal Church, and AFSCME State Union.
Survivors include a daughter, Josephine "Baby Jo" Kaha of Orion, Ill.; three sons, Arthur "Butch" Kaha of Champaign, Ill., Matthew Kaha of Milan, Ill., Pete Kaha of Kentwood, Mich.; a sister, Edna Anderson of Cairo; 15 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a daughter and a grandson.
Friends may call at Barkett Funeral Home from 5-8 p.m. Thursday.
Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Church of the Redeemer. The Rev. Arnold Hoffman will officiate. Burial will be in Green Lawn Memorial Gardens at Villa Ridge, Ill.
