Joseph Unterreiner

Joseph Henry Unterreiner, 67, of Friedheim died Thursday, May 23, 2008, at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

He was born Dec. 19, 1940, in Perry County, son of Sylvester and Laura Guyot Unterreiner.

Unterreiner was retired and formerly was self-employed in the air conditioning/heating business and was also an electrician and did auto body work. He was a booster member of VFW Post 4282, and Perry County Sportsman Club.

Survivors include two daughters, Linda Thieret and Lisa Huber of Perryville; a son, Lindell Unterreiner of Perryville; two brothers, David and Thomas Unterreiner of Perryville; two sisters, Dorothy Fluegel of Perryville, Ruth Woods of Aurora, Mo.; a friend, Nelda Sowell of Friedheim; eight grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a son.

Visitation will be from noon to service time Sunday at Young and Sons Funeral Home in Perryville.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Milton Ryan officiating. Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery in Perryville.
