JOSEPH ULRICH

ANNA, Ill. -- Joseph Augustine "Joe" Ulrich, 75, of Anna died Wednesday, July 18, 2001, at Union County Hospital.

He was born Oct. 3, 1925, in Olmsted, Ill., son of Michael and Lena Curt Ulrich. He and Opal Inman were married Nov. 8, 1947, in Grand Chain, Ill.

Ulrich was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Anna, Knights of Columbus, VFW Post 3455 and American Legion Post 344 in Anna.

He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II.

Survivors include his wife; a son, Daniel Ulrich of Anna; a sister, Priscilla Brantley of St. Louis; and a grandson.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a daughter, and a brother.

Friends may call at Lutz and Rendleman Funeral Home in Anna after 6 p.m. today, and Saturday at St. Mary's Catholic Church after 10 a.m. A wake service will be held at 6 tonight.

Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Mary's Church, with Msgr. Tom Miller officiating. Burial will be in Anna Cemetery, with full military honors by VFW Post 3455.
