PERRYVILLE -- Funeral mass for Joseph S. Parres of Perryville will be held at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Vincent's Church. The Rev. Larry Koncewicz will officiate, with burial in Mt. Hope Cemetery.
Friends may call at Young and Sons Funeral Home after 4 p.m. today. A parish wake service will be held at 7.
Parres, 72 years old, died Thursday, Jan. 31, 1991, at Perry County Hospital.
He was born Oct. 28, 1918, at Silver Lake, son of Simon J. and Julia P. Moore Parres.
Parres was a member of St. Vincent's Church, American Legion Post 133, VFW Post 4282 and AmVets Post 94. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II.
Survivors include two brothers, T. Bernard Parres of Perryville, V. Bud Parres of Cape Girardeau; two sisters, Zita Strattman of Ste. Genevieve, and Rita Huck of Decatur, Ill.
He was preceded in death by two brothers.
