PERRYVILLE -- Joseph H. Phillips, 66, of Perryville died Tuesday, Feb. 2, 1999, at his home.

He was born Nov. 22, 1932, in Missouri, son of Joe L. and Lucille Bohnert Phillips. He and LaVerne Brown were married May 19, 1956, at Perryville.

Phillips was a farmer. He served in the U.S. Army.

Survivors include his wife; four sons, Paul and Scot Phillips of Perryville, Billy Phillips of Cobden, Ill., Lee Phillips of Jackson; three daughters, Jean Parmer and Rhonda Holcomb of Perryville, Karla Stark of Jonesboro, Ill.; a brother, Raymond Phillips of Perryville; a sister, Marie Striler of state of Florida; 11 grandchildren; a great-grandchild; and seven stepgrandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two sons, and a daughter.

Friends may call at Miller Family Funeral Home from 4-9 p.m. today, and Friday from 6:30-9:30 a.m. The parish wake is at 7 tonight, and the rosary will be recited at 9 a.m. Friday.

Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Friday at St. James Catholic Church in Crosstown. The Rev. Richard Lause will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
