Joseph O. Miller, 74, of Cape Girardeau died Jan. 16, 1997, at the Missouri Veterans Home in Cape Girardeau.

He was born Sept. 23, 1922, north of Egyt Mills to Oliver J. Miller and Clare Bray.

He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II and the Korean War and was stationed at Pearl Harbor.

Survivors include two brothers, George Miller of Houston, Texas, and Edison Miller of Neelys Landing; and two sisters, Louise Miller Geckel of Cape Girardeau and Marie Miller Wells of Decatur, Ill.

There will be no visitation. Graveside services will Monday, Jan. 20, 1996, at Cotner Cemetery.

McCombs Funeral Home in Jackson is in charge of arrangements.
