Joseph F. Lorberg, 78, of Cape Girardeau died Saturday, July 29, 2017, at Saint Francis Medical Center.
He was born March 9, 1939, in Cape Giradeau to Carlton and Amanda Joyce Lorberg.
He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Cape Girardeau.
For over 50 years, Joe operated Lorberg Home Electronics, selling and repairing all types of electronic equipment. As an occupation and a hobby, he repaired items such as televisions, radios, organs and pianos. He was an avid ham-radio operator and member of the SEMO Amateur Radio Club.
Joe is survived by his brother, James E. Lorberg of Jackson; an uncle, Thomas (Betty) Joyce of Memphis, Tennessee; two aunts, Mary Schwab and Mary Gay Lorberg, both of Cape Girardeau; other relatives; and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents and numerous aunts and uncles.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at Crain Funeral Home in Cape Girardeau.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Interment will follow in Cape County Memorial Park.
Memorial contributions can be made to Judy Bradley, treasurer of the SEMO Amateur Radio Club, and will be accepted at the funeral home.
