ANNA, Ill. -- Joseph C. Jones, 79, of Anna died Friday, March 18, 2005, at the Illinois Veterans Home in Anna.
He was born Feb. 20, 1926, at Balcom, Ill., son of Joseph and Jewel Woodard Jones.
He was a life member of the Carroll P. Foster VFW Post 3455 in Anna and a member of the First Christian Church in Riverton, Ill. Jones was a veteran of World War II.
Survivors include three daughters, Cindy Miller of Belleville, Ill., Patty Storer of Lincoln, Ill., Georgia Gorline of Christianna, Tenn.; a son, Michael Jones of Nashville, Tenn.; a brother, Kent Jones of Anna; a sister, Evelyn Elliott of Ballwin, Mo., five grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister.
Friends may call after 9 a.m. Monday at Lutz and Rendleman Funeral Home in Anna.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Paul Sadler officiating. Burial will be in Ebenezer Hall Cemetery at Lick Creek, Ill., with full military honors by VFW Post 3455.
