ADVANCE -- Joseph J. Jones, 69, of Advance, died Wednesday, June 15, 1994, at Southeast Missouri Hospital.
He was born Jan. 18, 1925, in Blytheville, Ark., son of Rolla and Mary Pearl Scott Jones. He and Margarette Baker were married May 28, 1947, in Osceola, Ark.
Jones was a member of First Baptist Church, and served in the U.S. Army during World War II.
Survivors include his wife; three sons, Michael Jones of Phoenix, Ariz., Sam Jones of Casey, Ill., Chris Jones of Advance; six sisters, Mora Bidewell of Advance, Victoria Riley of Portage, Wis., Bonnie Kipp of Chicago, Ill., Pattie Ramsey of South Carolina, Romona Robins of Piedmont, and Jackie Harris of Pensacola, Fla., and two grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a brother and sister.
Friends may call at Morgan Funeral Home from 5-8 p.m. today.
Funeral service will be at 1:30 p.m. Friday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Scott Price officiating. Burial will be in Morgan Memorial Park.
