PERRYVILLE, Mo. -- Joseph L. "Joe" Blandford, 77, of Perryville died Thursday, Oct. 18, 2007, at Missouri Baptist Hospital.
He was born March 10,1930, in St. Louis, son of Josephus and Grace Thomure Blandford. He and Lillian Ernst were married April 7, 1951, at Belgique, Mo.
Blandford was a farmer and auctioneer. He was a member of Christ the Savior Catholic Church at Brewer, Mo., Elks Lodge 2701, and Sons of Amvets Post 94.
Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Bonnie Prost; a son, Curtis Blandford, all of Perryville; seven grandchildren; two stepgrandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and three great-stepgrandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a daughter and a grandson.
Friends may call from 5 to 9 p.m. Sunday and from 6:30 to 9:30 a.m. Monday at Miller Family Funeral Home. The parish wake will be at 6 p.m. Sunday, followed by a Sons of Amvets service.
Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Christ the Savior Church, with the Rev. Bill Rhinehart officiating. Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery.
