Jon Marc Stephens, 38, of Cape Girardeau died Friday, June 13, 2014, in Cape Girardeau.
He was born July 30, 1975, in St. Louis, to Paul David and Trina Sue Troutman Stephens. He and Rosemary Sullivan were married July 15, 2000, in St. Louis.
Jon received a bachelor's degree from Southeast Missouri State University. He was a special-education teacher and taught at Cottonwood and Jefferson School. He was the current operations manager at Slumberland.
He was active in martial arts.
He attended LaCroix United Methodist Church.
Survivors include his wife and sons, Rosemary and Lucas Matthew and Jacob Levi Stephens of Cape Girardeau; parents David and Trina Sue Stephens of St. Louis; sister Michelle (Scott) Hart of Fenton, Missouri; father-in-law Thomas Sullivan of Wake Forest, North Carolina; mother-in-law Mary Sullivan of Cape Girardeau; brothers-in-law Thomas (Melissa) Sullivan of Jackson, Timothy (Jennifer) Sullivan of St. Louis and Terence Sullivan of Kansas City, Missouri; and numerous other family members.
A memorial service will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Bethany Baptist Church in Cape Girardeau, with Dr. Shawn Wasson officiating.
Memorial contributions may be given to Eagle Ridge Christian School.
