JACKSON, Miss. -- Johnny M. Selph, 76, of Jackson, Miss., formerly of Cape Girardeau, died Tuesday, Nov. 23, 1998.
He was born Aug. 17, 1922, in Tennessee, son of Doris Selph and Clara Jo Autry Selph.
He was a retired sales representative, a veteran of the Navy and a 52nd degree Mason.
He is survived by his wife, Alberta Wilson Selph of Jackson, Miss.; a son, John Lyndell Selph of Cape Girardeau; a daughter, Pat Nail of Jackson, Miss.; a sister, Mary Jo Bailey of Litchfield, Mich.; two brothers, Ulmet Selph of Montgomery, Mich., and Monroe Selph of Royal Oak, Mich.; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
A memorial service was held at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Hillcrest Baptist Church in Jackson, Miss. Mark E. Seepe Funeral Directors and Crematorium of Jackson, Miss., was in charge of arrangements.
