CANALOU -- Funeral service for Johnny Lee Layton of Canalou will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Sikeston. The Rev. Kelly Tolbert will officiate, with burial in New Morley Cemetery at Morley.

Friends may call at the funeral home after 5 p.m. today.

Layton, 31 years old, died Monday, Jan. 28, 1991, at Baptist Hospital in Pensacola, Fla.

He was born Aug. 19, 1959, at Wyatt, son of Richard and Genevieve Sain Layton.

Survivors include his father and stepmother, Richard and Lela Layton of Canalou; three brothers, Richard Layton of Dogwood, Donald Layton of Scott City, and Danny Layton of Pensacola.

He was preceded in death by a stepmother, Francis Hood Layton.
