SIKESTON, Mo. -- Johnnie Lou Russell Worley, 86, of Sikeston died Saturday, May 10, 2003, at Sikeston Convalescent Center.
She was born Oct. 13, 1916, in Tupelo, Miss., daughter of Fred Harrison and Mattie Lou Ivie. She first married Willie Lee Russell in 1937. He died in 1975. She and Brown Worley were married Aug. 3, 1982.
Worley lived in Rochelle, Ill., most of her life, moving to Sikeston in 1976.
Survivors include her husband; four sons, James Russell of Rochelle, Clyde Russell of Scott City, Bill Russell of Corvallis, Ore., Dennis Russell of Sikeston; two daughters, Bernice Markley of Chandler, Texas, and Peggy Johnson of Indianapolis, Ind.
Also surviving are two stepsons, Junior Russell of Parkin, Ark., Tony Worley of Sikeston; four stepdaughters, Ruby Caul and Fay Caul of Rochelle, Connie Humphrey of Charleston, Mo., Tina Laura of Oran, Mo.; four sisters, Hazel Floyd of Pensacola, Fla., Pauline Cameron, Jo Ann Annis and Udell McCoy of Parkin; 13 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a grandson, a brother, and a sister.
The funeral will be at 10 a.m. today at McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston. The Rev. Maxey Schrieber will officiate. Burial will be at 1:30 p.m. in Crittenden Memorial Park Cemetery in West Memphis, Ark.
