ZALMA, Mo. -- Johnnie Eugene Waggoner, 78, of Zalma died Monday, Jan. 4, 2010, at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
He was born April 5, 1931, at Willow Springs, Mo., son of John Henry and Effie Francis Moore Waggoner. He and Norma Jean Seabaugh were united in marriage Dec. 3, 1952.
Johnnie was a logger and owned Twin City Auto Body. He attended Club Creek General Baptist Church.
He proudly served in the U.S. Army during the Korean conflict.
Survivors include his wife, Norma of Zalma; two sons, Ricky Eugene Waggoner of Horseshoe Bend, Idaho; Charles Edward Waggoner of Bloomfield, Ind.; two daughters, Carolyn Sue Northern and Patricia Ann Northern of Zalma; three brothers, Les and Howard Waggoner of Warsaw, Mo., Harold Dean Waggoner of Seattle; two sisters, Thelma Brown of Warsaw, Alice Hansen of Lincoln, Mo.; 11 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, an infant son, two brothers and two sisters.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Liley Funeral Home in Marble Hill, Mo.
The funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Ray Hannah officiating.
Burial will be in Leslie Ridge Cemetery near Marble Hill with full military honors.
