SIKESTON, Mo. -- Johnnie Katherine Miller, 70, of Sikeston died Monday, Aug. 13, 2007, at the home of her daughter.
She was born March 13, 1937, at Marked Tree, Ark., daughter of William and Dortch Hilliard Jester. She and Jack Miller were married Dec. 26, 1957, at Morley, Mo.
Miller was a nurse 22 years with Visiting Nurse Association. She was a member of Christian Tabernacle.
Survivors include her husband; two sons, Terry Miller of Matthews, Mo., Anthony Miller of Bell City, Mo.; a daughter, Beverly Gibson of Benton, Mo.; three brothers, Garrett Jester of Wenatchee, Wash., Lloyd Jester of Kenosha, Wis., Harold Jester of Sikeston; two sisters, Brenda Taylor of Benton, Betsy Jester of Oran, Mo.; a half sister, Mary Makzurkiewitz of Kankakee, Ill.; eight grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, two brothers and two sisters.
Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Ponder Funeral Home in Sikeston.
The funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Eric McDougal and Garrett Jester officiating. Burial will be in Missouri State Veterans Cemetery at Bloomfield.
