ST. PETERS, Mo. -- Johnnie D. Long, 69, of St. Peters died Friday, Aug. 22, 2003, at his home.
He was born Sept. 14, 1933, in St. Louis, son of Charles A. and Bess G. Long.
He was a flight engineer for the Air National Guard for 20 years. He served in the U.S. Air Force from 1954 to 1962.
He was a member of the New Salem Masonic Lodge 270 AF&AM in Winfield, Mo., Scottish Rite 32nd degree, VFW Post 5517, the Moolah Shriners of Missouri, St. Peters American Legion Post 313 and the U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary.
Survivors include his wife, Patricia J. Long; three daughters, Donna McCarty of St. Charles, Mo., and Marcie Roberts and Julie Griffith, both of St. Peters; a brother, Charles Edward Long of Stoney Hill, Mo.; two sisters, Virginia G. Gideon of St. Peters and Joyce Ann Bonney of Jackson; nine grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Baue Funeral and Memorial Center, 3950 West Clay St. in St. Charles. A Masonic service will also be held.
The funeral will be at 11:30 a.m. Monday at the funeral home. Burial will be in St. Charles Memorial Gardens.
