ADVANCE, Mo. -- Johnnie Lemons, 58, of Advance passed away Wednesday, Aug. 5, 2009, at his home.
He was born June 19, 1951, in Parma, Mo., son of Oran and Betty Biggs Lemons. Johnnie and Kyong "Coffee" Kim were married in 1975 in Seoul, Korea.
Lemons was a veteran of the Vietnam War. He was medically retired from the U.S. Army after 15 years of service.
Survivors include his wife; mother, Betty Talley of Poplar Bluff, Mo.; three brothers, Joey Lemons of Clarksville, Tenn., Tim Lemons of Mainz, Germany, Paul Lemons of Arab, Mo.; two sisters, Kathy Holt of Poplar Bluff, Jerry Levart of Poplar Bluff; and two grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father; a son, Kevin Lemons; and a daughter, Debbie Koch.
Visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. to service time Saturday at Morgan Funeral Home.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Ronnie Winchester officiating. Burial will be in Morgan Memorial Park with full military honors.
