EAST PRAIRIE, Mo. -- Johnnie Lou Dean, 57, of East Prairie, died Tuesday, Feb. 12, 2008, at her residence.
She was born Feb. 12, 1951, in East Prairie, daughter of John J. and Annie Arietta Hayden Grogan.
She lived most of her life in Mississippi County. She was a registered nurse and a member of First Church of God in East Prairie.
Survivors include a daughter, Ashley Chaney of East Prairie; a son, Derek Ellis of Fayetteville, N.C.; a brother, Larry Grogan of Matthews, Mo.; and five sisters, Linda Jones of Chairmore, Okla., Carolyn Trip, Georgia Thurman and Mary Grogan, all of East Prairie, and Ellen Grogan of Cape Girardeau.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a son, two brothers and two sisters.
Friends may call after 5 p.m. today at Shelby Funeral Home in East Prairie.
The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home with Mike Worrell officiating.
Burial will be in Dogwood Cemetery near East Prairie.
