James John Zinner Jr., 67, of Jackson went home to be with the Lord Monday, Nov. 16, 2020, at Life Care Center of Cape Girardeau.
He was born May 28, 1953, in Mobile, Alabama, to James J. and Ruth E. Whittington Zinner Sr.
James was a 1972 graduate of Hannibal (Missouri) High School and attended Southeast Missouri State University.
He served in the U.S. Navy from 1973 to 1976.
He loved to work with computers and worked several years for Missouri Sterilization Corporation in Jackson.
He was of the Christian faith.
Survivors include two brothers, Charles (Julie) Zinner of Jackson and Carl E. (Donna) Zinner of Hannibal.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Visitation will be from 9 to 10 a.m. Monday at Ford and Sons Funeral Home in Jackson.
Funeral service will follow at 10 a.m. Monday at the funeral home, with the Rev. John R. Hembree officiating. Burial with full military honors will be at Missouri Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield.
