KINGMAN, Ariz. -- John David West, 62, passed away Friday, April 26, 2019, in Kingman.
He was born Sept. 10, 1956, in Jackson, Tennessee, to the late John and Beatrice Hudson West.
He graduated from Central High School in Columbia, Tennessee, and then joined the U.S. Navy. After the Navy, he worked on oil rigs offshore in Louisiana and on barges before early retirement.
He was fond of living in Florida and spent many years there. During retirement, he traveled across the United States many times making a lot of friends along the way. He was a member of St. Luke's Methodist Church in Columbia.
He is survived by a son, William Minner; granddaughter, Sophia Ashlyn Minner; sister, Vickie West (Art Boyd); brother, George (Debbie) West; niece, Heather West; nephews, Levi West and Dane Luke.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Mark West; and nephew, James West.
Visitation will be from 1 p.m. until time of service at 3 p.m. May 11 at Williams Funeral Home in Columbia.
There will be a private interment at Polk Memorial Gardens.
