BENTON -- Funeral service for John C. Walker of Overland will be held at 1 p.m. today at Ortmann Funeral Home in Overland. Pastor Roy C. Moore will officiate, with burial in Mt. Lebanon Cemetery at St. Ann.

Walker, 93, died Wednesday, July 10, 1996, at Missouri Baptist Hospital.

He was born Sept. 22, 1902, at Benton, son of John C. and Ida Mae Rochelle Walker. He married the former Pearl Slaughter, who preceded him in death.

Walker had operated a theater.

Survivors include a daughter, Barbara Lombardo; a son, John Walker Jr.; six grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren.
