JOHN T. HUTCHISON

EAST PRAIRIE -- John T. Hutchison, 101, of Route 3 Charleston, died Saturday, Dec. 12, 1998, at the East Prairie Nursing Center.

He was born Nov. 10, 1897, at Calvert City, Ky., son of William Oliver and Alice V. Hutchison.

He married Betty Stokes on May 3, 1918. She died March 11, 1979.

He was a member of the Anniston United Methodist Church.

Survivors include four sons, Frank Hutchison of Anniston, Wallace Hutchison of Clearwater, Fla., Rollie Hutchison of East Peoria, Ill., and Howard Hutchison of East Prairie; three daughters, Lois Chambers and Mildred Chambers, both of Anniston, and Nadine Moore, of Peoria; 11 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a son and seven sisters.

Service will be held Monday at 11 a.m. in the Shelby Funeral Home Chapel at East Prairie, with Brother Larry Smith officiating. Burial will be in Dogwood Cemetery near East Prairie.

Friends may call at the funeral home after 5 p.m. today.
