ANNA, Ill. -- John Smith, 46, of Anna died Saturday, Feb. 6, 1999, at Union County Hospital.

He was born July 30, 1952, in Chicago, son of Wilbur and Lizzy Mary Robinson Smith.

Survivors include five sisters, Catherine Vassar, Mary Dean, Wanda, Sandra and Doris Smith, all of Chicago; four brothers, Alvin, Calvin, Melvin and David Smith, all of Chicago.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother.

Funeral will be at 1:30 p.m. Thursday in Interfaith Chapel at Choate Mental Health Center, with the Rev. Gregory Bittle officiating. Burial will be in Choate Center Cemetery.

Friends may call at the chapel Thursday from noon until service time.

Crain Funeral Home in Anna is in charge of arrangements.
