John Adams Savers, 70, of Stuttgart, Ark., formerly of Jackson, passed away Sunday, May 26, 2013. He was born Oct. 17, 1942, in Cape Girardeau, son of John Andrew and Vivian Adams Savers. John was a graduate of St. Louis Municipal School of Nursing [1969] and St. John's Hospital School of Anesthesia, Springfield, Ill., [1974]. He was a certified registered nurse anesthetist [CRNA] from September 1974 until retiring in March 2005...

John Adams Savers, 70, of Stuttgart, Ark., formerly of Jackson, passed away Sunday, May 26, 2013.

He was born Oct. 17, 1942, in Cape Girardeau, son of John Andrew and Vivian Adams Savers.

John was a graduate of St. Louis Municipal School of Nursing [1969] and St. John's Hospital School of Anesthesia, Springfield, Ill., [1974]. He was a certified registered nurse anesthetist [CRNA] from September 1974 until retiring in March 2005.

Survivors include a sister, Marsha [Buddy] Parrish of Cape Girardeau; a niece, Tammy Parrish [Jim Heirbaut] of Amsterdam, The Netherlands; a great-nephew, Hunter Parrish of Cape Girardeau; and a great-niece, Ella Heirbaut of Amsterdam.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a nephew, Shawn Parrish.

Friends may call from 9 a.m. until time of service Saturday at St. Albans Episcopal Church in Stuttgart.

A memorial service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the church, with the Rev. Darrell Stayton officiating. A committal service will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Russell Heights Cemetery in Jackson, at the gravesite of his parents. The Rev. Alfred Jewson of Christ Episcopal Church in Cape Girardeau will officiate.

In lieu of flowers, contributions to St. Albans Episcopal Church or to a favorite charity will be gratefully appreciated.

Stuttgart arrangements entrusted to Turpin Funeral Home. Local arrangements by McCombs Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Jackson.
