WOLF LAKE, Ill. -- John S. Lambdin, 84, of Wolf Lake, died Thursday, Feb. 13, 1992, at Chateau Girardeau Health Center in Cape Girardeau, Mo. He was born Dec. 20, 1907, in Sheridan, Ark., son of Ransom and Emma McClung Lambdin. He and Esther Jane Crane were married Jan. 9, 1929, at Sheridan. She died Dec. 14, 1985...

WOLF LAKE, Ill. -- John S. Lambdin, 84, of Wolf Lake, died Thursday, Feb. 13, 1992, at Chateau Girardeau Health Center in Cape Girardeau, Mo.

He was born Dec. 20, 1907, in Sheridan, Ark., son of Ransom and Emma McClung Lambdin. He and Esther Jane Crane were married Jan. 9, 1929, at Sheridan. She died Dec. 14, 1985.

Lambdin had farmed, retiring in 1970. He was a member of Wolf Lake United Methodist Church, and was active in the Bald Knob Cross Association.

Survivors include a son, Charles Lambdin of Wolf Lake; three daughters, Jessie Nolen of Bowling Green, Ky., Joan Smith of Freeburg, Judy Monroe of Longwood, Fla.; 10 grandchildren, and 12 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by two brothers.

Funeral service will be at 1:30 p.m. Sunday at Lutz and Rendleman Funeral Home in Anna. The Rev. Linda Horrell will officiate, with burial in Jonesboro Cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral home after 5 p.m. Saturday.
