John Rhodes

John B. Rhodes, 62, of St. Charles, Mo., died Monday, Aug. 25, 2008, at St. Joseph Hospital in St. Charles.

He was born July 26, 1946, at Crump, son of Barney and Freda Schrader Rhodes. He and Sandra Herschbach were married June 13, 1987.

Rhodes attended Crump School and graduated from Delta High School in 1964.

He started work in 1964 at McDonnell-Douglas, now Boeing. He attended Assembly of God Church in St. Peters, Mo.

Survivors include his wife; two sons, Timothy Rhodes of Jupiter Farms, Fla., Thomas Rhodes of St. Charles; a daughter, Rebecca Zurbiggens of Arnold, Mo.; two stepsons, Bradley and Brian Herschbach of Maryland Heights, Mo., a stepdaughter, Robin Herschbach of Seattle; a brother, Donald Rhodes of Oran, Mo.; and three grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 4 to 9 p.m. today at Baue Funeral Home in St. Charles, and from 9 a.m. to service time Thursday at First Assembly of God Church in St. Peters.

The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at the church. Graveside service will be at 4 p.m. in Stroderville Cemetery at Whitewater.
