JOHN R. CLAYTON

EAST PRAIRIE -- Funeral service for John R. Clayton of East Prairie will be held at 1 p.m. today at Shelby Funeral Chapel here. Mike Johnson will officiate, assisted by R.A. Hampton and Jim Guffie. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery at Sikeston.

Clayton, 60 years old, died Sunday, March 31, 1991, at Missouri Delta Medical Center.

He was born April 29, 1930, in Fulton, Miss., son of A.A. and Martha Ann Welch Clayton. He and the former Oadis Eaves were married March 6, 1950.

Clayton owned and operated Clayton's TV Store here 28 years, and was a member of Full Gospel Church.

Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Sandra McCoy of Sikeston; a brother, James Clayton of Little Rock, Ark.; two sisters, Susie Leigh of Sikeston, Anna Westpheling of Willis Point, Tex., and two grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by five brothers.
