Funeral service for John William Peart of Metairie, La., will be held today at Lake Lawn Funeral Home in Metairie. Burial will be in Lake Lawn Cemetery there.
Peart, 66, died Tuesday, May 28, 1996, in Metairie.
He was born May 21, 1930, son of Glen and Mable Mammon Peart of Egypt Mills.
Peart was a graduate of Central High School and Southeast Missouri State University. He was an environmental chemist with the U.S. Department of Transportation in Arlington, Va., retiring in January 1996.
Survivors include his wife, Lillian; three sons, Douglas, Steven and Charles Peart, a stepson, Clay Bertin, a stepdaughter, Nancy Moore, all of New Orleans, and four grandchildren.
