JOHN M. SNEDDON

ANNA, Ill. -- John M. Sneddon, 82, of Anna died Tuesday, Sept. 17, 1996, at Herrin Hospital.

He was born Aug. 9, 1914, in Percy, the son of Robert and Elizabeth Muckermoil Sneddon. He married Helen Barker on July 16, 1936, in Jonesboro, Ill., and she preceded him in death on Jan. 5, 1995.

Sneddon was a member of the First Christian Church in Anna and was a retired concrete finisher.

Survivors include two sons, Bob Barker of Bartlett and Donald L. Sneddon of Anna; one daughter, Joyce Brown of Dongola; one brother, Manford Sneddon of Cutler; one sister, Margaret Bigham of Galesburg; 10 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a son, two brothers and a sister.

Friends may call at the Lutz and Rendleman Funeral Home in Anna from 6-8 p.m. today.

The funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Thursday with the Rev. Steve Shepherd officiating. Interment will follow in Anna Cemetery.
