JOHN LEWIS

Funeral service for John Roscoe Lewis of Cape Girardeau will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at Ford and Sons Mt. Auburn Chapel. The Rev. Clayton Smith will officiate, with burial in Memorial Park.

Friends may call at the chapel from 4-8 p.m. today.

Lewis, 88, died Wednesday, Nov. 5, 1997, at the Lutheran Home.

He was born Dec. 16, 1908, in Cody, Wyo., son of John Marion and Nora Davis Lewis. He and Dorothy Robertson were married May 22, 1939, at Marshfield. She died July 2, 1992.

Lewis was a salesman with Century Insurance 25 years. He was a member of Centenary United Methodist Church and Breakfast Optimist Club.

Survivors include a son, John Robert Lewis of St. Louis; a sister, Mildred Askegaard of Arlington, Va.; and a grandson.
