PERRYVILLE -- John J. Riehn, 65, of Perryville died Saturday, Dec. 31, 1994, at Barnes Hospital in St. Louis.
He was born on Sept. 5, 1929, at Millersville, son of John L. and Nettie Hillderbrand Riehn.
On Oct. 1, 1955, he married LaVern Tarrillion. She survives.
He worked as an electrician-lineman.
He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Highland and VFW Post 4282. He was a veteran of the Korean War, serving in the Army.
Besides his wife, survivors include two sons, Robert and Michael Riehn, both of Perryville; a daughter, JoAnn Payne of Perryville; three brothers, Norman Riehn of Perryville, Marvin Riehn of Arnold and Franklin Riehn of St. Louis; three sisters, Violet Otto and Amy Prevallet, both of Arnold, and Alice Robinson of Farmington; and seven grandchildren.
One sister preceded him in death.
Friends may call at Young and Sons Chapel in Perryville Monday, from 4 to 9 p.m., and Tuesday from 6:30 to 10 a.m.
A parish wake will be held Monday night at 7 at the funeral home, followed by a VFW wake at 7:30.
Funeral service will be held Tuesday at St. Joseph Catholic Church, with a 10:30 a.m. Mass. The Rev. Robert Brockland will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
