ANNA, Ill. -- John Z. Harris, 83, of LaVerne, Calif., died Saturday, Dec. 20, 2008, at Pomona Valley Hospital in Pomona, Calif. He was born Feb. 19,1925, in Anna, son of Mr. and Mrs. James Harris. Harris is survived by five children, Scott Harris of Houston, Leslie Roberts and Nina Harris of Minnesota, Fawn Harris of Vancouver, B.C., Zadock Harris of LaVerne; five grandchildren; and two great- grandchildren...

ANNA, Ill. -- John Z. Harris, 83, of LaVerne, Calif., died Saturday, Dec. 20, 2008, at Pomona Valley Hospital in Pomona, Calif.

He was born Feb. 19,1925, in Anna, son of Mr. and Mrs. James Harris.

Harris is survived by five children, Scott Harris of Houston, Leslie Roberts and Nina Harris of Minnesota, Fawn Harris of Vancouver, B.C., Zadock Harris of LaVerne; five grandchildren; and two great- grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a brother.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to service time today at Rendleman and Hileman Funeral Home in Anna.

The funeral will be at 11 a.m. today at the funeral home, with Monsignor Dennis Schaefer officiating. Burial will be in Jonesboro Cemetery.
