HAYWOOD CITY -- John H. Hamilton, 63, of Haywood City died Saturday, March 4, 2000, at Sikeston Convalescent Center. He was born Jan. 1, 1937, at Kewanee, son of David and Morean Weakly Hamilton. HAYWOOD CITY -- John H. Hamilton, 63, of Haywood City died Saturday, March 4, 2000, at Sikeston Convalescent Center.

He was born Jan. 1, 1937, at Kewanee, son of David and Morean Weakly Hamilton.

Hamilton attended the Hooe School in the Bug Ridge community. He was a member of New Morning Star Baptist Church.

Survivors include his mother; five sisters, Mary Curry and Earlean Thomas of Cape Girardeau, Phyllis Rowe and Beverly Morris of Sikeston, and Patricia Cagle of Caruthersville; five brothers, Lee Hamilton and Bishop Don Weakly of Cape Girardeau, Robert Hamilton of St. Louis, Carl Hamilton of Sikeston, and Mike Hamilton of Haywood City.

He was preceded in death by two brothers.

Friends may call at New Morning Star Church from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Thursday.

Funeral will be at 1:30 p.m. at the church. The Rev. Johnny Thomas will officiate. Burial will be in Haywood City Cemetery.

The Williams-Farr & Purnell Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
