VILLA RIDGE, Ill. -- Memorial service for John H. "Jack" Wheeler of San Antonio, Texas, will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Barkett Funeral Home in Mounds. The Rev. David Wyatt will officiate. Private burial will be later in Green Lawn Memorial Gardens at Villa Ridge.

Friends may call at the funeral home Wednesday from 10 a.m. to service time.

Wheeler, 91, died Saturday, Sept. 30, 1995, at Four Seasons Windcrest Nursing Home in San Antonio.

He was born Oct. 30, 1903, in Fulton, Mo., son of Lewis and Stella Kemper Wheeler.

Formerly of Villa Ridge, he was retired from Illinois Lumber Yard in Cairo. He was a member of Congregational Church in Villa Ridge.

Survivors include nieces and nephews.
