CAIRO, Ill. -- John Frey Jr., 76, of Cairo died Tuesday, Nov. 20, 2012, at his home. He was born Feb. 10, 1936, in Cairo, son of John Dennis Frey Sr. and Nellie Hodges Frey. He married Nancy Naomi Britt, who preceded him in death Dec. 1, 1998. John was self-employed as a furniture upholsterer. He was a member of the Assembly of God Church in Cairo...
CAIRO, Ill. -- John Frey Jr., 76, of Cairo died Tuesday, Nov. 20, 2012, at his home.
He was born Feb. 10, 1936, in Cairo, son of John Dennis Frey Sr. and Nellie Hodges Frey. He married Nancy Naomi Britt, who preceded him in death Dec. 1, 1998.
John was self-employed as a furniture upholsterer. He was a member of the Assembly of God Church in Cairo.
He is survived by a daughter, Nancy Denise (Keith) Woolard of Christopher, Ill.; four sons, John Dennis Frey III of Tampa, Fla., William Dewey Frey of Cairo, Harold (Meredith) Frey of Fenton, Mo., Robert Lee Frey of Bertrand, Mo.; 10 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; two brothers, Harry Thomas Frey of Cairo, Art Frey of Corunna, Mich.; a sister, Corien Sullivan of Sikeston, Mo.; nieces, nephews and other relatives.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and an infant son, Michael.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until service time today at Crain Funeral Home in Ullin, Ill.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. today at the funeral home, with Steve Sullivan officiating. Interment will be in Spencer Heights Cemetery.
