John Fischer

John Frederick Fischer, 57, of Cape Girardeau died Friday, Nov. 15, 2013, at his home.

He was born May 15, 1956, in Cairo, Ill., to Boniface Frederick and Modelle Hite Fischer. He married Betty Jean Medlock on April 26, 1977.

John worked for and managed Kerasotes Theaters for 35 years before his health forced his retirement.

He is survived by his wife, Betty of Cape Girardeau; two sons, John Robert Fischer (Samantha) of Davenport, Fla., and Keith Allen Fischer of Cape Girardeau; two grandsons, Lucas Aiden and Gabriel Owen Fischer of Davenport; a brother, Robert Dale Fischer of Kearney, Mo.; a sister, Bonnie Sue Green of Brazoria, Texas; nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Family and friends may gather from 9 a.m. until time of service Monday at Crain Funeral Home.

The funeral will be held at 9:30 a.m. Monday at the funeral home, with the Rev. David Hulshof officiating.
