John F. Kester, 69, Cape Girardeau Route 1, died Thursday, Oct. 15, 1992, at Southeast Missouri Hospital.
He was born April 8, 1923, at Hildebrand, son of Frederick John and Mary Cobble Kester. He and Dorris Graser were married July 29, 1947, at Chaffee.
Kester was an electrician, and member of IBEW Local 835, and VFW Post 3838. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II.
Survivors include his wife; a son, John Kester Jr. of Cape Girardeau; a daughter, Ann Bauer of Oak Ridge; two brothers, George Kester of Scott City, Bill Kester of Cape Girardeau; two sisters, Lucy Seabaugh of Perryville, Lilly Johnson of Bakersfield, Calif., and two grandchildren.
There is no visitation or funeral service. Ford and Sons Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
