CLEARWATER, Fla. -- John Dees, 49, a former resident of Cape Girardeau, died Oct. 15, 1998, at his home.
He was born Dec. 14, 1948, at Cape Girardeau, son of John Paul and Florene Dees.
He had lived in Clearwater for the last two years. Dees served in the U.S. Navy from 1970 to 1974 and was a veteran of the Vietnam War.
He earned a degree in commercial art from Southeast Missouri State University in 1978. He was self-employed and owned Dees Sign and Sign Craft Co. in Florida.
Dees attended First Baptist Church in Clearwater.
Survivors include two brothers, Bobby Dees of Fort Worth, Texas, and Paul Dees of Ste. Genevieve.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral will be Wednesday at 10 a.m in Pinellas Park, Fla. Burial will be in the Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell.
Arrangements were handled by International Funeral Home in Pinellas Park.
