MURRAY, Ky. -- Joel Griffin Sinyard, 72, died Friday, March 24, 2000, at his home at Panorama Shores near Murray, Ky
He was born Jan. 9, 1928, in Cullman, Ala., son of Culvern and Ella Willcutt Sinyard. He married Dottie Jean McIntyre on Jan. 20, 1969, in Birmingham, Ala.
He had been employed as a meat market manager at Brunos.
Survivors include his wife; three sons, Dennis Sinyard of Salem, Mo., Doyal Landers of Birmingham, and Lenny Sinyard of Hueytown, Ala.; two daughters, Julie Turquitt of Calera, Ala., and Edna Rodgers of Brucetown, Tenn.; a brother, Jerry Paul Sinyard of Salem; a sister, Louise Batoni of Akron, Ohio; 10 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two sisters.
Friends may call from 5-8 p.m. today at Ponder Funeral Home in Sikeston, where many of the deceased's in-laws live.
Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Monday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Kelley Grubbs officiating. Burial will be at Essex Cemetery.
