PATTON, Mo. -- Joe Wilfong, 69, of Patton passed away Saturday, June 24, 2017, at his residence.
He was born July 2, 1947, in Cape Girardeau, son of Ray and Viola Besher Wilfong. He and JoAnn Seabaugh were united in marriage Aug. 5, 1967.
Wilfong was a member of the Post Oak Methodist Church and was a truck driver for the Bollinger Farms.
He served his country proudly in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War.
He is survived by his wife, JoAnn Wilfong of Patton; daughter, Johnna Bollinger of Patton; brothers, Richard Wilfong of Perryville, Missouri, and Chuck Wilfong of Patton; sisters, Jane Brotherton of Wappapello, Missouri, and Sharon Denton of Troy, Montana; grandchildren, Spencer and Cody Bollinger; and great-grandson, Kota Bollinger.
Preceding him in death were his parents; brother, Gary Wilfong; and sister, Pam Ackman.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Liley Funeral Home in Patton.
Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Roy Michael officiating. Burial will follow in the Post Oak Cemetery near Patton, with full military honors by the Missouri Honor Team.
