DEXTER -- Joe W. Riddle, 86, of Pyle Town community near Dexter, died Monday, Feb. 28, 1994, at Baptist Hospital East in Memphis, Tenn. He was born Sept. 23, 1907, at Powe, son of Benjamin and Sarah Moor Riddle. He and Dorothy May White were married Nov. 8, 1932, at Bernie. She died April 19, 1987...

DEXTER -- Joe W. Riddle, 86, of Pyle Town community near Dexter, died Monday, Feb. 28, 1994, at Baptist Hospital East in Memphis, Tenn.

He was born Sept. 23, 1907, at Powe, son of Benjamin and Sarah Moor Riddle. He and Dorothy May White were married Nov. 8, 1932, at Bernie. She died April 19, 1987.

Riddle was a retired farmer, and member of Pleasant Grove Community Church at Pyle Town.

Survivors include a son, Dwight Riddle of Hazlehurst, Miss.; a daughter, Joan Blackman of Iuka, Miss.; a sister, Clenn Anderson of Phoenix, Ariz.; six grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren.

Friends may call at Watkins and Sons Funeral Home in Dexter after 4 p.m. today.

Funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home, with the Revs. Dale Shearon and Del Blackman officiating. Burial will be in Smith-Stevenson Cemetery near Dexter.
